Did you know?
The land where Jack's Ridge now stands was once part of the headquarters of retreating Japanese forces near the end of World War II. When the Americans landed in Davao on May 1, 1945, the Japanese moved toward Matina Hills, where they had a commanding view of Davao City and the gulf.
More than half a century later, reminders of that past remain in the area. Caves dug during the war still mark the ridge, and stories continue about old bullets, war materials, and possible hidden treasure.
Today, Jack's Ridge preserves the feature that made the place important then: its remarkable view. The ridge has become a destination for dining, gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the natural beauty of Davao.

Make the game part of a fuller Jack's Ridge visit with dining before or after play.
Plan casual rallies, family outings, company games, and post-match meals in one place.
Beyond the court
Jack's Ridge is known for hillside dining, Dabawenyo food, cool air, and views over Davao City.
The main restaurant highlights Dabawenyo favorites, grilled tuna, chicken and pork, kinilaw, sinigang, beer, and fresh pomelo. It is the natural post-game stop for players who want a proper meal after the rally.
For a lighter after-play plan, Karlo's brings coffee, desserts, and a relaxed glass-walled dining atmosphere with a view.
Turn evening games into a social night with grilled food, drinks, acoustic sessions, and live band nights.
The twin pools add a family-friendly resort layer, useful for groups who want more than a court reservation.
Ridge heritage
Jack's Ridge sits on the former Matina Hills area connected to Davao's World War II history. Today, the ridge keeps that sense of place with open-air views, restaurants, event spaces, cottages, and places to unwind.
